The energy transition is not a uniform global phenomenon. What works in Northern Europe does not translate to the subcontinent without fundamental re-examination. India's grid operates under unique constraints - monsoon-driven hydro variability, coal-dependent baseload, ambitious renewable targets, and a regulatory architecture that is evolving in real-time under CERC and state commissions.

SARAL's energy research addresses this gap: producing original analysis that is technically rigorous, regulatory-aware, and operationally grounded. From grid-scale optimization to data center power procurement, our work serves utilities, developers, industrial consumers, and policymakers across India and the Global South.
